Dave Markee's August Ministry ReportThis month we decided to experiment with a much less formal approach and have been using a combination of round tables café style plus chairs on Sunday morning. This is proving very popular and has been effective in creating a much more relaxed atmosphere. With the addition of coffee and croissants between 10-10.30, we reckon it’s a good way to start the new season.
A monthly fellowship lunch is being planned and will start Sunday 5th October, we are looking forward to that very much! This month the word was shared by Graham Head and myself around the theme of moses’ call to ministry.
Our worship times are progressing very well – John Wallace and Team are bringing home-grown songs almost every week and the prophetic flow is warming up nicely. We are blessed to have such fine musicians in our church, most of whom are accomplished worship leaders in their own right. A recording is being planned and as a Worship Team we are meeting to fellowship and play together from October onwards.
Church gatherings on Thursday evenings run by Pat and Graham Head continue to grown and we are helping each other to get closer to Jesus.
Sunday evening Team Forum with Dave and Ze will continue on a monthly basis from 28th September – attendance is by invitation.
We received personal encouragement from Peter Jackson, John Arnott, Georgian Banov and Alan Smith this month. The message from the Lord is clear and strong – keep goin, the blessing is near!
On the wider church front, this month saw much concern over the Florida Outpouring, Lakeland as evangelist Todd Bentley was stepped down from ministry. In the wake of his demise, Ignited Church is continuing to hold healing meetings in the original building and by all reports is continuing to do well under the guidance of Stephen Strader and a newly formed Apostolic Oversight Team.
It is interesting to note that while the enemy loves to hide things in darkness, as soon as proper authority is put into place, the Holy Spirit brings the truth into the open very quickly, shining His light on what has been hidden, sometimes for years. This is a huge lesson for the worldwide church, parts of which fragment because of her reluctance to see the value of proper apostolic leadership.

God is calling His Bride to integrity by adopting more Biblical standards of behaviour so she matures into a real force for change.
Our youngest daughter Jessica is being married to Gareth Cox on September 6th and then Ze and I take a break for two weeks.
